YOVi
YOVi is the second FRC team in Ukraine and the first in the city of Dnipro. It consists of 16 members who already have more than 6 years of experience in robotics. The members of YOVi are winners of international, national, and regional Olympiads in robotics, physics, programming, and 3D modeling.
Our History
The team was created in 2020 by the Kyiv Youth Federation of Robotics. Almost every member is studying or has graduated from the Dnipro Scientific Lyceum of Information Technologies.
Since then, we have been constantly developing new projects, presenting at international forums and conferences, Olympiads, and hackathons, including MAN, ICYS, NASA Space Challenge.
Our Projects
COVID Mask
In 2020, we created the "Smart mask" project, aimed at eliminating the need to get tested for coronavirus in laboratories. It’s a mask with sensors that monitor breathing rate, pulse, and body temperature. Additionally, external sensors measure air temperature, pollution, and humidity. All information is transmitted via Bluetooth to a mobile application.
Achievements
Last year, our team impressed the jury and received the Rookie Game Changer Award, which is given for outstanding success in the team’s participation in the season. We took first place in the FRC competition in our category, and the award ceremony was broadcast on the official FRC website.
